As you know we spent the third weekend of April with Lorraine and Andrew.
Lorraine and Andrew are very lovely and they welcomed us very nicely.
They told us about Scottish traditions and Andrew cooked haggis and tatties ( without neeps !) I enjoyed it. Unfortunatly the weather was ugly, cold, rainy; it rained all Saturday afternoon. Despite the bad weather we could take a couple of walks : the area is beautiful . We appreciated the wood stove and we kept by the fire. I learned and noted many new words and expressions . I tried to understand even if I could’nt get everything . But no matter I was happy to do this linguistic stay.

J’ai passé vraiment une très belle semaine.
Mon intention était de faire un stage en immersion totale et c’est vraiment ce que j’ai vécu. Catherine est une très bonne professeure et une très bonne pédagogue. Les cours étaient très bien structurés et préparaient selon mes lacunes et mes besoins du jour précédent. Nous avons beaucoup échangés discutés sur de nombreux sujets. Catherine m’a fait visiter cette très belle ville de Cannes, on a fait de nombreuses balades. Catherine est également une très bonne cuisinière, je me suis régalé toute la semaine. L’appartement qui était à ma disposition était vraiment très bien. Il n’y a eu que du positif et je suis enchanté de ce séjour en immersion qui a rempli vraiment toutes les cases. Tous mes remerciements !!!

I enjoyed meeting them and sharing conversations, walks, meeting friends and acquaintances ,games. i improved my english thanks to them i would like to take another immersion stay with them in 2025. They are clever, friendly and good cooks.

Lorraine and Andrew are two delightful people: welcoming and going out of their way to accommodate their guests.
They take turns preparing meals, while the other takes care of us.
On Saturday lunchtime it was Lorraine who prepared the meal. Meanwhile, Andrew showed us around their property, particularly along the river. He shared with us bits of history between England and Scotland.
After lunch Lorraine gave us a lesson with questions written on the blackboard which we had to answer in as much detail as possible. This tested just how poor our English was :-)))). But it was important to "jump in". The last child in the family, "Haress", took part in every activity: lessons and walks, and I think he fell in love with Madeleine!
In the evening, after dinner: haggis of course, we watched a program we could choose from in English about Münchhausen syndrome: wow, terrible disease! On Sunday morning, after a hearty breakfast, we had our second lesson: we had to describe a rare profession without using words that could have been too precise and have led to the profession being found too quickly. Before lunch, prepared by Lorraine, we visited the upstairs garden and Andrew told us all about what he'd done to it since he moved in.
We also talked about our respective backgrounds and families. I'd never had the experience of having to express myself solely in Shakespeare's language and hearing nothing but English. I was very apprehensive before coming, but Lorraine and Andrew's simplicity put me at ease and I'm delighted to have been able to speak with my limited linguistic resources.

Le pedagogie = 2*3 heures le samedi et dimanche. J'ai apprécié le fait qu'on puisse échanger sans focaliser uniquement sur la grammaire.
Le programme = correspond à mes attentes. le + est la visionnage du film le samedi soir et débreifing le lendemain.
Votre progress = en 2 jours, il y a des déblocages, Une semaine serait bénéfique.
Votre integration = Wendy et Geoff sont charmants et font tout pour mettre à l'aise.Ils se mettent à la portée Votre formateur = parfait. sympa, ouvert.
